Kogi guber: Group rallies support for Bello’s 2nd term bid

A social cultural organisation, Kwararafa Unified Assembly, has thrown their support behind Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s second term bid as governor of Kogi state.

The group in a press statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Aaron Mike Odeh, Sunday in Abuja, called on every son and daughter of Kwararafa across Nigeria to give their unflinching support towards Bello’s re-election.

Odeh, who made the call during a meeting with the Chief of Staff to the governor, Chief Edward Onoja, in Lokoja, described Bello as a special gift to the People of Kogi state and the entire descendants of Kwararafa people across Nigeria and urged those conspiring against the governor to have a rethink and team up with him to enable him continue with the landmark achievements in the state.

He also urged the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency to support Bello, who is the only candidate capable of retaining the state for the party.

Responding, Chief Onoja, thanked the national coordinator and his executive for the owing their support behind the state governor.

According to him, the group’s visit was timely in view of the propaganda against the governor being sponsored by “few insignificant and expired political jobbers who are bent on looting Kogi state’s meagre resources.”  Onoja, who harped on landmark achievements of the governor, urged the Assembly not to build cordial relationship among descendants of Kwararafa across Nigeria.

He appealed to ethnic nationalities like Igala, Nupe, Idoma, Ibira, Ogra, Igara, Doma, Alago, Jukun, Ukep, Anang, Anioma, to rally support for Bello as their son as he seeks re-election as governor.
