Kogi guber: Dino confident of victory, urges supporters to remain fearless, committed

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaiye, has called on the teeming supporters of the party to eschew fear during the forthcoming election , assuring that no amount of intimidation can deterred PDP from winning the November 11, 2023 election.

Dino Melaiye made the call on Wednesday at the secretariat of the party in Lokoja, while addressing women and youth leaders from the 21 local government areas of the state.

He said the forthcoming election in Kogi state will differ from every other elections and urged the electorate in the state to come and cast their votes, defend it until the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC announce a winner.

The PDP candidate promised that if elected, he will return the local government administration back to rural people to serve them through the provision of basic social amenities that will better their lives.

“We will return local government administration to the local government to serve the downtrodden better through the provision of basic social amenities to the people” he stated.

Melaiye who also urged the people of the state to vote for PDP to enable the party and the candidate correct all the anomalies created by the ruling APC, assured that he will use his connection and experience to turn around the fortune of the state.

“Give me your votes, I will use my experience, exposure and connection to turn around the fortune of the state through foreign investors and harnessing of abundant mineral resources to rejuvenate the economy of the state.

“I will improve on the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Kogi state through tourism, agriculture, marine transportation and establishment of airport in Lokoja to boost business activities” the PDP candidate assured.

In his good will message, the Director of Strategy Dino campaign organization Mohammed Bologi , said women and youth have a vital role to play in the forthcoming election and urged them to put in their best to galvanize victory for PDP and its candidate.

The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate Habibat Mohammed-Deen in her remarks described women and youth as the engine room of any political party and charged them to give more support to the party.

She noted that the forthcoming governorship election belong to women, stressing that PDP is the only party in the election that picked a women as running mate.

She charged women in the state to demonstrate the ownership of the election by ensuring that PDP win the election on November Eleven through their massive support.

Also in her remarks, the western senatorial woman leader Nadama Bello cautioned women against selling their votes to other political parties, appealing to them to remain in PDP and work for the victory of the party.

She stated that the benefits of PDP winning the governorship election is enormous and charge members and supporters of the party to forget and forgive any grievances so that the party can go into the election as strong and viable.
