The Jigawa State Local Government Service Commission has promoted at least 1,300 local government staff under its watch.
According to a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the commission, Najib Umar said the Executive Chairman of the Commission, DIG Uba Bala Ringim (retired) effected the promotion as a New Year gift to the beneficiaries.
The statement quoted the chairman as expressing delight with the full support of Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar on his commitment to the welfare of the local government staff.
He promised that the commission will continue to encourage local government staff in terms of training and retraining, payment of in-service training among others.
The chairman called on the beneficiaries to be disciplined and committed to their responsibilities as the commission will not entertain any kind of moral laxity in the exercise of their duties.
