Japa: Nigerian YouTuber reveals reasons for criticizing students obtaining UK visas

A Nigerian YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, is gaining attention for his firm position on Nigerians obtaining UK student visas.

Tiamiyu’s statements during a BBC interview on Tuesday have sparked controversy as he claimed that many Nigerians who obtain student visas do not genuinely intend to study in the UK, but rather have ulterior motives.

During an Instagram live interview on Wednesday with Daddy Freeze, Tiamiyu reiterated and defended his previous comments, stating that people tend to take offense when confronted with the truth. He expressed that his words were often misunderstood and misinterpreted by numerous individuals.

He said: “So the student thing is not real. It is not like they need the degrees.

“They need the degree as an access road to come into the country, so a lot of these people their priorities shifted real fast.”

“If you want to be real, you will offend people”
