IUO, water institute sign MOU on research

The National Water Resources Institute in Kaduna State has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Igbinedion University Okada (IUO) aimed at staff exchange, students’ training and collaborative research.

Other areas of the collaboration include academic/technical information, awareness campaigns and establishment of UNESCO chair.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye disclosed this in a statement issued in Benin-City on Thursday.

Ezemonye said programs of “the water resources institute are germane to IUO goals and aspirations”.

In a related development, the VC said the varsity was working out modalities for the establishment of Cyber-Engineering security as a course.

To this end, Ezemony disclosed that the school has been admitted into CISCO- a world class IT industry that deals with networking.

He said that the University has created a smart campus that allows students to excel in a knowledge base driven by IT.
