ITF DG reassures on job creation

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has organised an interactive forum for its stakeholders in Kaduna with the theme: “Sustainable Approach to Skills Development for Employment and Job Creation.’’
The ITF DG, Sir Joe N. Ari, said the interactive session was meant to provide a platform for the ITF, its stakeholders and the general public to rub minds for mutual and sustainable working relationship.
Sir Ari, represented by Mal. Yahya Manu, manager, Kaduna Area Office, said, the forum also afforded the participants the opportunity to brainstorm, exchange ideas and chart a roadmap on how to make business relationship more profitable.
The ITF boss further reiterated that ideas and knowledge gained from interactive fora across the country have been useful to the Fund; hence the decision to make it a yearly exercise was pivotal.
“I wish to thank the stakeholders for keeping faith with the ITF in spite of the difficulties experienced during the period of economic recession in the country,” he said.
Sir Ari also registered the Fund’s appreciation to all the stakeholders and clients for the cordial relationship that exists and assured all present of the Fund’s current management’s determination to provide efficient service delivery for the interest of the nation and stakeholders alike.
“Our responsibility as an intervention agency of the federal government is to enhance human capital productivity in commerce and Industry by facilitating human capital development and promoting the acquisition of skills for gainful employment,” Ari disclosed.
The high point of the occasion at the interactive forum at Sarduna Memorial Foundation Hall, Kaduna was the presentation titled “Skills Acquisition for Job Creation and Employment: The ITF Approach” by Dr. Daniel Ewuga Asele, which was applauded by the participants as many thanked ITF for setting a pace in the area of training and re-training of human resource in the country.
