Informants killed during assassination attempt on me – Cleric

Outspoken cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has disclosed that insiders who colluded with others to make an attempt on his life were among those killed when gunmen opened fire on his convoy last October.

Suleiman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, however, said the gunmen had killed the alleged informants before realizing what they did.

Gunmen suspected to be assassins attacked the convoy of Suleiman at Warrake community near Auchi, Edo state, on October 21, 2022.

Seven persons, including three policemen were killed during the attack.

The cleric made the claim in a video he posted on his Facebook page.

The video showed that he was addressing worshippers during the Church 2023 crusade in Philadelphia, United States of America (USA).

In the video, Suleiman also said he drove himself on the day and knocked down one gunman who was later apprehended and killed by the police.

According to him, “I have seen death face-to-face when the lord helped us to survive the assassination attempt. Amongst those that were killed, there were insiders. They were part of the plan.

“But the plan was not for them to be where they were. So, they had wasted them before they discovered they have wasted their own people. The young man that police later killed, I knocked him down with my car.

“I was driving and he came with a gun in front of me… I told myself he’s dead. They shut the engine to stop the car. The car was still moving. But as soon as I got home to park, the car engine knocked. The gunmen were nine snipers, fully hired and imported.”
