Impact of women empowerment on society

Women empowerment can be done in several ways including accepting women’s viewpoints, making effort to seek them and raising the status of women through education. It is also the multi-dimensional social process that helps women gain control over their lives.

Economic empowerment is one the fundamental impacts of achieving gender equality and women empowerment. If there is equal participation in economic activities by both genders, it would add about $30 or 28% to the nation’s GDP annually.

Women empowerment is dependent on various variables that include geographical location, educational and social status and age.

However, history has proven that if you educate a man, you educate an individual but if you educate a women, you educate a nation; educating a woman bring self respect and confidence. Educating a women also promotes active participation in her society.

Women are the backbone of the families. They provide care, support, and nurturing to their families and are essential to the development of children. Despite the importance of women in society, they face numerous challenges that hinder their ability to contribute fully. These challenges include gender discrimination, violence against women, lack of access to education, healthcare, etc.

Women empowerment in the society leads to many positive impacts and promotion of gender equality that are essential for the development of a just and equitable society. Empowering women will also improved health outcomes, increased economic growth and poverty reduction.
