Imo Lawmaker rejoins PDP as Uzodinma slashes salaries

The lawmaker representing Orlu state constituency in the Imo state House of Assembly, Hon. Paschal Okolie, Wednesday, returned to the political platform that took him to the Assembly, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Hon Okolie had left PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC) when former governor, Emeka Ihedioha, was sacked by the Supreme Court and joined Senator Hope Uzodinma who was returned by the court alongside others.

Although, the defecting legislator did not state his reason for rejoining PDP known after submitting his defection letter to Speaker Chiji

Collins, Blueprint correspondent gathered that the promises the governor gave the lawmakers when he came on board were not being fulfilled, the worst being that he has slashed the lawmakers’ salaries into two which did not go down well with many.
More lawmakers are expected to decamp from APC to PDP which now has 7 members in the next sitting.
