I’ll play hard politics – Gbazuagu

Former Enugu governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Chief Gbazuagu Nweke said he has decided to play politics this time around in a very hard way.
“When I joined politics in February, 2016 I made up my mind that this time around, I must play politics well and very hard.
“This is not the time to tell you the position I want to run but before the end of next week, I will start visiting every ward,” Gbazuagu who did not disclose the position he wants to vie for this time around, made this known when he inaugurated members of his political machinery, The Crusaders, in Enugu yesterday at the Hotel Sylvia.
It was however gathered that he is eyeing Enugu West senatorial position currently occupied by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
Gbazuagu said that he has played politics for 3O years and has come to realise that elections are not done at the polling units but at the wards and the grassroots.
He disclosed that he had “died three times and resurrected thrice” and does not fear any longer, saying that any position he decides to run, he must win.
“In 2013, I died three times and God resurrected me three times.
I am an uncommon person.
I have conquered fear.
Any position I am going to run, I will win,” he boasted.
The APC chieftain said that his political machinery, The Crusaders, will not compliment efforts but results because they would make sure that any person among The Crusaders vying for any political position must win.
He said when he would flag off his campaign, prominent politicians and personalities will be in attendance because he has made friends across other political parties other than the APC.
He also said that he did not believe in name dropping but is sure that many people would come.
“I have friends in all the political parties.
I don’t drop names but I know people but the day I’ll start my campaign, you will see names,” he said.
He disclosed that he helped the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, Chief Ken Nnamani, Senator Chukwuma Utazi, Chief Pius Anyim and Ojo Madueke to rise to stardom but none of them added anything to his economic empowerment.
Gbazuagu however explained that the political group, The Crusaders, is for everybody no matter the political divide, saying that the preoccupation of the political group is to ensure political, economic and spiritual victory for all their members.
