Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, Tuesday, reportedly abducted eight female passengers of a commercial Hiace bus in Okhuessan in Esan South East local government area of Edo state.
The hoodlums were said to have waylaid the bus on the Benin-Okene expressway, dispossessed over 18 occupants of their valuables and afterwards went away with the females among them.
A witness who craved not to be named said, “All the males passengers and driver including the aged women were left to go home after robbing them.
“But the robbers took the young ladies into the bush after robbing everyone.”
The State Police spokesman, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, said he was yet to be briefed.
