Director, Highways in charge of North-West, Engr Olalokan Busari, has said all the road projects ongoing within the zone will be completed and handed over for use soon.
The director stated this over the weekend while inspecting the pace of road projects on Hadejia, Birniwa and Nguru Yobe state federal roads, explaining that President Muhammadu Buhari has released enough funds for the immediate completion of all ongoing federal projects across the nation.
According to him, “Because of the importance attached to these roads in the zone, the federal government has released enough funds for the completion of the projects. The phase one of the roads has been completed. Out of the 70 km, about 32 km has been completed while the remaining one from Birniwa to Nguru will soon be completed.
“The essence of it is that, it was delayed because of the poor funding in the past which the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari said is unacceptable.”
He added that the road, when completed, will be of immense benefit to the communities and usher in smooth ride for motorists and trigger economic development in the areas.
