As a follow up to the directive of the FCT Executive Committee last month, the FCT Administration has reversed four agencies to departmental status.
The affected departments are the Agency for Mass Education; Agency for Science and Technology; FCT Emergency Management Agency and Satellite Towns Development Agency.
The reversal of these Agencies was contained in a circular signed by the FCT Permanent Secretary; Engr. John Obinna Chukwu.
With this reversal, the heads of the affected agencies would henceforth be known as directors and those heading various departments under the said agencies would operate as heads of divisions.
The circular further stated that the new arrangement would be until the National Assembly enacted appropriate laws backing the establishment of such agencies.
