FCT APC urges Nigerians on peace, support to govt

Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) FCT chapter, Hon. Hashim Angama, has called on residents of the territory to continue to live in peace with one another and  support government at all levels in the efforts to deliver critical infrastructure to the rural dwellers.

Angama made the call, Saturday while speaking to Blueprint on Nigeria at 60/Abuja Municipal Area Council’s 36th anniversary.

He stressed the need for residents to strive to project attitude of unity, peace and togetherness that have always kept Nigerians together as a corporate entity.

The APC state secretary described AMAC and FCT in general as the symbol of Nigeria’s unity, adding that recent activities by both ministers of the territory have shown that they have come with a complete mantra of change and next level that Nigerians have been yearning for.

“We have decided to throw our full support and prayers on the leadership of the  FCT Administration, led by the FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello whose governance has tackled issues of revenue generation, taken infrastructure seriously and utilised other glaring opportunities for boosting its economy.

“We have also seen the willingness of the administration to open up and embrace the numerous opportunities for private sector investment, and some being driven directly by the APC-led government,” he said.

The APC scribe said the Bello-led administration has succeeded in attracting more investors than successive administrations and the dreams of the founding fathers of  Abuja have been motivated by consistent policies.

He commended AMAC chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Candido for obtainng the operational license from NSCDC for AMAC Marshal Guards to handle security issues, besides AMAC Microfinance Bank, AMAC Investment and Property Development Company, all duly licensed and functioning well.

“This is the first time we are witnessing genuine steps to engage the private sector in the development of the FCT as this will bring an end to the dwindling revenue generation and job creation opportunities,” he said.
