Equity market gains N39bn

Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday opened in positive trend gaining N39 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 0.29 per cent to N13.298 trillion from N13.259 trillion recorded on Friday. Also the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index grew by 108.52 basis points to 36711.96 points from 36603.44 reported the previous day. Investors traded 226.272 million shares worth N2.208 billion in 3624 deals against 679.917 million shares valued at N3.902 billion exchanged hands the previous day in 3677 deals.
An analysis of the investment showed that Dangote Cement led gainers table during the day, gaining N1.30 kobo to close at N236.00, Guaranty Trust Bank followed with a gain of N0.80 kobo to close at N38.80 kobo, Nascon appreciated by N0.55 kobo to close at N20.80 kobo, Cap Plc increased by N0.50 kobo to close at N35.00, Nigerian Breweries gained N0.50 kobo to close at N108 .00
Forte Oil on the other hand topped losers chart for the day, dropping by N2.70 kobo to close at N25.20 kobo, OandoPlc trailed with a loss of N0.40 kobo to close at N5.15 kobo, UPL down by N0.25 kobo to close at N2.30 kobo, Stanbic IBTC fell by N0.25 kobo to close at N48.55 kobo while Dangote Flour depreciated by N0.20 kobo to close at N8.90 kobo
