EPL: United, Everton desperate for form as Man City face Liverpool

Manchester United and Everton will hope to avoid yet another defeat when they clash at Goodison Park.

United seemed to be hitting their stride especially after thrashing RB Leipzig 5-0 at Old Trafford.

But a shock 1-0 loss to Arsenal was followed by another loss to Istanbul Basaksehir on the road. Pressure seems to be mounting on Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, as United have won just two and lost three of five games so far.

Everton on the other hand began the season well winning their first four games to top the league table but they have now registered back to back defeats against Southampton and Newcastle.

Both defeats were away from home though, and they will now look to make the most of their home ground advantage.

Chelsea will aim to continue their brillant run of form when they host Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been in inspired form and have been particularly solid at the back, keeping six clean sheets in a row since the signing of goalkeeper Eduoard Mendy.

A win will see them jump into the top four depending on other results, and against a Sheffield side who have lost six of their seven games so far this season, a win looks a sure thing for Chelsea.

Crystal Palace will host Leeds United at Selhurst Park as both sides look to return to winning ways.

Fulham will be full of confidence after picking up their first win of the season against West Brom, but they will face a bigger task when they travel to take on West Ham at the Olympic Stadium.

Tomorrow, defending champions table toppers Liverpool will travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on Man City. Liverpool surged to the top of the league table thanks to a 2-1 win over West Ham.

Their good run of form continued in midweek as they trashed Atalanta 5-0. The state of their defence remains a concern though, with Virgil Van Dijk and Fabinho out injured.

City have not had the start to the season they would have wanted, winning just three games out of six and drawing two to lie in 10th place. A victory over the Reds could be the lift they so desperately need.

Arsenal will eye a fifth win of the season when Aston Villa visit the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners currently lie ninth on the league standings, but a win here can see them break into the top four. A not so bad start to the season.

They take on a Villa side who like Everton made a flying start to their season, winning their first four games, but have now lost their last two games, conceding seven goals in the process. Mikel Arteta’s men should be able to claim all three points comfortably.

Leicester will target a sixth win in eight games when Wolves visit the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham will look to get the better of West Brom at the Hawthorns.
