Election: Buni cautions youth against violence, thuggery

Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni has charge politicians and political parties, opinion leaders, traditional rulers and parents to caution their wards and youth against violence and thuggery during and after the elections.

The governor gave the charge in Buni gari shortly after casting his vote at the Pulturam- Yerimari Polling Unit of Buni-Gari ward of Gujba Local Government area.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) during the conduct of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“I am highly delighted with the process and the fact that our people are now voting in their ancestral communities unlike in the past when they were IDPs and voting outside their communities,” he said

He commended the electorates for peacefully conducting themselves in an orderly manner and charged them to maintain the tradition.
