El-zakzaky donates food items to widows

The leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (MIN), popularly known as Shi’ite, Sheikh Ibrahim El-zakzaky has donated food items to widows, orphans and the needy to enable them to fast comfortably.

Flagging off the distribution of the commodities in Zaria Wednesday, the leader of the group said more than 5,000 vulnerable will benefit from the intervention

Sheikh El-zakzaky, represented by his brother, Mallam Badamasi, said the scheme was an annual event where Ramadan and festivities take place under the leadership of Sheik El-zakzaky.

The group donates to the needy and not only Muslims.

He pointed out that the intervention was aimed at cushioning the effect of economic hardship the vulnerable in the society were facing which was created by our leaders who don’t have the interest of the common man at heart.

Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Mallam Abdu Maiunguwa thanked the leader of the group for putting smiles on their faces.

He said the intervention came at the right time when most of them don’t have what to eat. He added that very few of them live from pot to mouth.

Our correspondent reports that the commodities distributed include, maize, rice, sugar, among others.
