Reports reaching Blueprint.ng has it that the Maiduguri regional office of Daily Trust Newspapers has been allegedly invaded by some armed military personnel even as its regional editor, Uthman Abubakar and another reporter Ibrahim Sawab were arrested.
Bluepring.ng gathered that the invasion may be connected with the lead story of Daily Trust on Sunday on military operation in the North-east, which the military considered offensive.
A source close to the scene reliably informed our correspondent that armed military men have also shut the gate of the Newspapers’ Maiduguri regional office.
Efforts to speak with the military authority proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.
