Residents of Calabar Municipal and indeed entire Cross River dwellers are afraid of the unknown following the escape of kidnappers and armed robbers from the prison.
Almost 20 of them have reportedly escaped as at the time of filling this report on Monday.
Meanwhile, Police authorities have revealed that only three persons believed to have escaped have been traced.
The state Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, said, “Only three escaped. Two of them were gunned down while one was rearrested.”
