Breaking: EFCC operatives ‘raid FUTA, arrest students at midnight’

Suspected operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly arrested students following a midnight raid at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State.

The operation around 2am, according to a video in circulation, was at the students’ lodges.

Already, some students have taken to social media, sharing videos and alleging that the men broke into rooms and arrested some of them.

Blueprint recalls that the Chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, had in November ordered that sting operations at night be stopped.

As at the time of filling this report, the anti-graft agency was yet to react to the latest incident.
