The Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed has dissolved all the 20 local government caretaker committee chairmen with immediate effect following the expiration of their tenure in office.
The secretary of the state government, Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim conveyed the governor Bala’s approval on Tuesday in a statement made available to journalists in Bauchi.
According to statement, the caretaker committee chairmen have been directed to hand over the affairs of the local governments to their respective heads of administration pending the appointment of substantive caretaker committees.
Governor Bala wishes all the local government caretaker committee members success in their future endeavours and thanked them for their contributions to the progress and development of the state.
