Breaking: At last, Egypt opens border for stranded Nigerians

The Egypt government has agreed to open its border for stranded Nigerians evacuating war-torn Sudan, after the intervention of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.

This was disclosed in a short statement on the verified Twitter handle of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), on Monday.

The statement reads: “With the intervention of President Buhari, Egypt has finally opened its border to Nigerians fleeing Sudan. With an Airforce plane already on the ground in Aswan, Egypt, the processing of the first set of evacuees will begin.”
