37 members of the House of Representatives has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaker Yakubu who read their letters on the floor during plenary quoted them as saying they were leaving owing to “factionalisation” of the party.
Four members from Oyo State left the APC for African Democratic Congress (ADC).
32 others cutting across Benue, Kogi, Kano, Kwara, and other states however dumped the APC for the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and Business, Emmanuel Orker-Jev who also indicated his decision to leave the APC has not announced the party he is moving to.
