Bayelsa guber hopeful commends workers

A front line philanthropist and governorship hopeful in Bayelsa state, Architect Reuben Okoya has commended civil servants in the state for their immense contribution to the growth and development to the state.

 Speaking on Wednesday in Yenagoa, the Architect described them the bedrock of the society”.

He commended retirees who have rendered selfless service to the state assuring them that the Dickson led administration will clear all outstanding arrears, gratuities and retirement benefits being owed to them.

He also assured that the Governor Dickson’s led administration was in the frontline of implementing the proposed N30, 000 minimum wage.

 The Governorship hopeful urged the civil servants and Bayelsans in particular to support the administration of Governor Henry Seriake

Dickson in order for him to implement the promises made to the masses during his campaign.

He said: “Bayelsa workers as of today are one of the best in the country. We are proud of them. They are listening people. They are cooperative.

“Without Bayelsa workers, Bayelsa will be nowhere. I am a Bayelsa worker myself. Even politicians are Bayelsa workers.

“We want to thank them for their incredible contributions to Bayelsa development. We want to keep them happy.

“The Governor has said that the N30, 000 minimum wage will be looked into very seriously and implemented and the Governor is somebody that means what he says and he will do it. Let us believe him. Let us trust him,” he said.
