Bayelsa battle unknown how Mine FC

Bayelsa United FC’s captain Salomon Junior has said they hope to go past unknown How Mine FC of Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Bayelsa will fly out from Abuja to Zimbabwe to keep a date with How Mine FC on Saturday for the second round, first leg clash.
“It is going to be a good game for us, though we know nothing about our opponents. However, football is the same everywhere; we just want to go on to the pitch, do our job and get a good result. We are gunning for victory,” Junior told MTNFootball.com

Bayelsa United beat Kondzo of Congo 2 – 0 on aggregate to reach this stage of the competition, while How Mine defeated St. Michel of Seychelles 6 – 4 on aggregate.
Bayelsa United goalkeeper, Gambo Gideon, who was substituted against Gombe United in a Nigeria league match Sunday due to injury, has recovered and has been listed for the trip to Zimbabwe, while second-choice Kazeem Yekeen is a major doubt as he suffered a hamstring injury against Gombe.

Gideon suffered dizziness and could not continue with the game before Yekeen replaced him and suffered hamstring injury.
Gideon has, however, assured that he would be fit for the game.
“I felt dizzy during the game, so I couldn’t continue. I suffered a similar experience during the second leg of our CAF Confederation Cup match against Kondzo, but I managed to finish the game. I have started taking my medication and I am sure I will make the trip,” Gambo told MTNFootball.com

Former Kwara United goalkeeper Yekeen was not lucky as the hamstring may keep him out for over a week and may miss the Confederation Cup clash.
“I don’t think I will play the Confederation Cup game. I am injured, I have hamstring injury but the medics here said they will observe me till Wednesday (yesterday),” Yekeen told
