The governor, represented by his deputy, Mr Audu Sule, said ”artisans play an important role in the society, they are trained to build the future of the country, and they must take the profession seriously”.

The two-day event will feature a total of 250 participants from Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe, Borno and Yobe states, competing in seven major building trades.

The categories in which artisans will be competing are; carpentry, masonry, painting, tiling, plumbing, electrical and welding.

Speaking at the occasion, the Bauchi state Coordinator of N-power, Mr. Muhammed Musa, said those who performed well would proceed to Abuja for the National competition.
