Bala pledges support on implementation of World Bank’s LPRES project  

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has assured of the full support of his administration towards the successful implementation of the Livestock Productivity Resilience Support Project (LPRES).

The governor gave the assurance when he received in audience, stakeholders from the World Bank and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security led by the LPRES National Project coordinator, Sanusi Abubakar, at the council chambers, Government House, Bauchi.

Governor Bala noted with satisfaction that Bauchi has been benefiting from World Bank’s projects and welcomed the inclusion of Bauchi to benefit from the LPRES project and observed that the implementation of LPRES project will assist his administration to achieve its goals in the livestock industry.

He pledged to provide all the necessary requirements needed for LPRES implementation and directed the LPRES Bauchi team to work in close collaboration with Acresal project team in the state for agricultural development to  minimize the level of challenges in the sector.

Earlier, the LPRES National Project coordinator, Sanusi Abubakar, said the team is in Bauchi to assess the level of LPRES implementation and applauded Governor Bala for providing 200 hectares of land for use in the implementation of the project.
