The All Progressives Congress (APC) has put a stop to the declaration of result of the primary conducted by the party on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by the National Secretary of APC, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni in Abuja, the party warned against the declaration of any result from the Anambra senatorial primary election.
Blueprint gathered that the state excos of the party was at the loggerhead with the national body over the choice of candidate, who will fly the party’s flag in March election.
Senator Uche Ekwenife, who defected to the APC, is contesting the ticket with a founding member and former acting national women leader, Barrister Sharon Ikeazo.
The statement said: “Senator Domingo Obende, who was duly appointed by the party to conduct the primaries, was yet to declare a final result, hence any other result announced from any quarter would be regarded null and void.
‘The media and general public is advised to wait for the completion of the exercise”, the statement added.
