APC govt will develop Cross River State – Adah

A governorship aspirant in Cross River State, Paul Adah, has assured that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government will revamp the current hailing economy of the state and provide employment to its teeming populace.
Adah, who was giving insight into why he wants to become the next governor of the state, lamented that the state has suffered neglect for so long and therefore cannot continue any longer.
Adah said he was drafted and motivated to join the governorship race by the people who believe he has the capacity to rescue the state from being further mortgaged by the current PDP administration led by Prof. Ben Ayade.
He said he decided to align with the aspiration of the people in order to bring a radical change from underdevelopment, mass hunger and poverty and redirect the state,
The two term member of the House of Representatives and former Commissioner in the NDDC, lamented that unlike Kano, Rivers, Lagos among other states which had advanced in roads, health, education, security and public welfare, Cross River State under the present leadership is poorly governed
“It is time the state is organised and democracy, good governance, development and above all, the welfare of the people is enthroned. It is regrettable that having a sole administrator as a governor in a Democratic setting has denied many of well-being.”
The gubernatorial hopeful recalled that at creation and during the successive administrations, the state witnessed bold development plans which laid foundations for accelerated economic growth, increased productivity in agriculture, industrial development and improved the quality of life of the people through the provision of necessary infrastructure, but regretted a total decay in all the infrastructures provided.
“The state has been left behind. So Cross River must return to development planning. It is currently being beaten to it by newest states”, Adah, who is seeking a ticket on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) said.
Also, he said he is aspiring to become the governor in 2019 because “we cannot fold our hands to watch the turn of the Northern Cross River being wasted, allowed the good intention of the past administrations being thrown to the dust”.
According to the former lawmaker, Northern Cross River and indeed the entire state is unanimous that most of the industries in the state have closed down with loss of thousands of jobs, and resolved that the State needs a dynamic and accountable leadership that must be ambitious to rescue the situation with state building.
