Anambra 2021: Guber aspirant vows to make Education top priority

A People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial hopeful in Anambra state 2021 poll, Dr Godwin Maduka, has said his administration would make education a top priority if voted to power.

Maduka, in an interview with select journalists at his country home in Umuchukwu, Orumba South local government area said his desire to invest more on education was because it was a key for a brighter future all over the world.

“We will have more university campuses and technical schools in the state so that Ndi Anambra would have greater access to higher education, this will cater for the growing population of our 21 local government areas of the state.”

“This, in addition to subsidised tuition for tertiary institutions and free education at both the primary and secondary school levels will bring schools closer to the people and encourage massive enrolment,” he stated.

On the programme he organised for youths over the weekend, the medical expert said it was aimed at celebrating the younger generation while showing them the light.

“I organise the programme to make them know we are behind them. We want to show them the way forward. I will create an enabling environment for youth to thrive in my administration.

“I will create infrastructure to make them work. I will empower them by creating new jobs and supporting the existing ones to grow. I also told the Traders association that all my administration had in stock to make them thrive in their businesses,” he said.
