The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ahmad Ahmad has invited former sports minister Solomon Dalung to be his special guest at tomorrow’s AFCON final.
Senegal will battle Algeria in Cairo tomorrow to determine the new champions of Africa.
Nigeria failed to reach the championship game after they were knocked out by Algeria 2-1 in the semifinal.
Ahmad Ahmad invited Dalung for the grand finale when the former minister was in Egypt on the Federal Government Delegation led by Senate President Ahmed Lawan.
“Dalung has been handed a special invitation by the CAF boss to be part of the AFCON final,” a top official told SCORENigeria
During his tenure as Nigerian sports minister, Dalung fought tirelessly against corruption at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
