ACF sacks NEC chair Aduku, appoints Osman

Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Tuesday removed its National Executive Council (NEC) chairman, Chief Gabriel Aduku, less than a year after he was elected.

He was replaced with Mr. Mamman Mike Osman.

A statement signed by the ACF national publicity secretary, Prof. Tukur Muhammad-Baba, Tuesday said the decision to remove the chairman and reshuffle the executive committee was reached following a joint meeting of the ACF Board of Trustees and National Executive Council at its Kaduna headquarters.

“A joint meeting of the Board of Trustees (BOT) and the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) met at Kaduna on Tuesday, to discuss matters of interest to the organisation. Foremost before the meeting was the endorsement of new leadership for ACF, which was approved and inaugurated as follows:

“Chairman, BOT, Alhaji Bashir Mohammed Dalhatu; Deputy Chairman, BOT, Senator Fred Orti; Vice Chairman, BOT, Amb. Ibrahim Mai Sule; Chairman, NEC, Mamman Mike Osman; Secretary General, Alhaji Murtala Aliyu, Matawalen Gombe.

“Other members of the NEC, as inaugurated, are as attached in the appendix.

“The new chairman, ACF’s NEC, Mr. Mamman M.Osman, in his acceptance speech paid tribute to the founding members of ACF. The new NEC, he pledged, will reinvigorate a new ACF that will be different in outlook and impact as it seeks to contribute to national discourse on issues relevant to the Nigeria project.”
