Abductors of Osun farmer demand N15m ransom

Abductors of a farmer, Banji Idowu, in Osun state during the week, have demanded N15 million ransom.

The victim, a retired teacher, was kidnapped on his farm at Iregun, via Ilowa in Obokun local government area on Monday.

Blueprint gathered that Idowu had a video WhatsApp call with his wife who resides abroad before his abductors took him away.

Findings showed that the kidnappers dropped some bullets wrapped with leaves to signal to the relatives of their victim that he has been kidnapped.

It was gathered that the victim also made a call to his relatives in the evening that he had been kidnapped.

The kidnappers who had demanded N30 million ransom during the week were said to have reduced the ransom to N15 million on Friday morning.

The police spokesperson in the state, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, saying that security operatives are on the trail of the kidnappers.

It was also gathered that local hunters have been combing the forest to rescue the victim.
