In Borno, Al Ansar FM, TV present prizes to 6 winners of Ramadan quiz competition

Al Ansar Radio FM 96.1 and TV station Maiduguri, Tuesday, presented consolation prizes to winners of the Ramadan Islamic quiz competition organised by the radio station for Borno citizens.

After the rigorous daily quiz from 8 am to 9 am, the winners with the highest marks were on the 29th of Ramadan presented with various prizes, which were donated by individuals and organisations to encourage learning and Islamic knowledge among the Muslim community within the state and its environs.

The prizes include N. 5 million, water flask, Vitafoam pillows, Holy Quran, wrappers, T-shirts, shadda yards, books on Hadith, Fiqhu, Sirah, Tauhid and cash among others.

Presenting the prizes on behalf of the President of Al Ansar Radio FM 96.1 and TV, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa , the Chairman of Board of Directors of Al Ansar Radio FM 96.1 and TV station Maiduguri, Barrister Isa Buratai said he was highly impressed and excited with the quiz programme live on radio throughout the month of Ramadan.

He also commended the efforts and sacrifices of the staff of the radio and TV stations, especially the management staff who stood and worked day and night to see to the success of the Islamic knowledge programme and other peace and humanitarian programmes for the first time in history.

The chairman also congratulated the winners, moderators and organisers of the quiz especially the smallest among the winners an 8 year old boy who emerged third while urging the staff to keep it up and work more harder to meet the vision and mission of the radio and TV station.

In his remark, the Media Consultant to Al Ansar FM Radio 96.1 and TV station Maiduguri, Alhaji Mohammed Alfa noted that the promise made earlier to the people about the radio and TV station has been fulfilled and the station is still waxing stronger and stronger with new interesting and tantalizing programmes.

He added that the station was not meant to compete with any station neither is the station competing with any station but in the forefront of advocating peace and stability in the state and environs with its motto,” Radio for humanity” while pointing out that a lot of programmes had been lined up towards achieving its vision and mission.
