CAF Champions League playoff: Enyimba edge South Africa’s Galaxy in Aba

Enyimba will take a two goal lead to South Africa after they beat TS Galaxy 2-0 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoff round on Sunday.

Victor Mbaoma opened the scoring at the Enyimba Stadium in the 7th minute with his first goal for the club after good work from Bashir Abdulrahman.

Second half substitute Martins Usule added the second in the 60th minute twelve minutes after coming on to give the Yaba side a two goal cushion.

TS Galaxy who play in the second tier of South African league football fashioned very few chances and found Theophilus Afelokhai impregnable in goal for Enyimba.

Enyimba would look to complete the job when they travel to South Africa on 3 November for the second leg with a place in the competition’s group stage at stake.
