Moments after leading his team to 1 – 0 victory over visiting Kogi United in one of the Nigeria National League (NNL) match decided over the weekend, Donald Malomo-Paris has resigned his appointment as the head coach of the club.
His resignation came amidst speculation on the distress financial status of the club. Reliable sources confided in Blueprint Sport that the players and officials are owed up to eight months arrears of salaries.

Confirming his resignation via a telephone chat, coach Malomo exclusively told our correspondent that he had no other option than to jump the ship since the Abuja-based club could meet up with the contractual terms they signed with him.
He said: “I didn’t have to resign but I had to due to several backlogs of salaries and allowances which the club owes me. Both players and officials of the clubs are owed nothing less than eight months salaries.

When Blueprint Sport further sought to know the club he might be heading to, Malomo, who only returned to TEAP mid-season last season after he left FC Abuja, revealed: “Right now, I’m in Jos where I’m finalizing talks with Mighty Jets and I intend to resume with them as from next week.”
Malomo was the head coach of TEAP before the club, managed by few individuals who worship at a parish of Redeemed Christian Church of God in Abuja, gained promotion in 2011/2012 league season to NNL.

He later parted ways with the club to join FC Abuja after having misunderstanding with TEAP’s management.
His urgent return to the club eventually ensured that TEAP escaped relegation.
