3 killed, others injured in Plateau attacks – OPHS spokesman

At least 3 persons were confirmed killed, 3 others injured in a midnight attacks on two different communities in Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areass of Plateau state, security taskforce spokesman, Major Samson Zhakom said.

Plateau state governor Caleb Mutfwang, has also confirmed the incident, which has claimed, “several lives,” saying it was condemnable.

In a signed statement by his spokesman, Gyang Bere, Mutfwang said the attacks which occurred on Friday night, was unfortunate and unacceptable.

Confirming the attacks to Blueprint Newspaper, the information officer of Operation Safe Haven, Major Samson Zhakom, said 3 people were lost their lives in the two separate attacks.

“There was a security breach yesterday in Bokkos and Mangu LGA of plateau State. However, the timely response by troops of OPSH thwarted the situation.

“In Mandung Mushu in Bokkos LGA, 3 people were injured during the attack and were taken to the hospital, later 2 of the injured victims died.

“While in Kopnalle under Mangu LGA of plateau State, I local was killed while 2 injured.

“A church and a house was partially burnt but the troops put off the fire. Total of 3 people killed and 3 injured,” Major Samson Zhakom, told Blueprint Newspaper.
