2023: North-central’ll present a united front – JT Useni

A former Minister of the Federal Capita Territory (FCT), Gen. Jeremaih T. Useni (retd.), has declared that the North Central People’s Forum would unite the people of the zone and afford it the opportunity to present a united front in 2023.

Useni made the declaration in Minna during the investiture of the Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, as patron of the Forum.

Gen. Useni, who led the delegation of the Forum to Minna, said the conferment of the patron on Governor Bello was in recognition of his zeal and commitment to the security, unity, peace and progress of the North-central zone.

He said, “I urge the governor to accept the Forum, support and contribute to its activities and programmes for the benefit of the people of the state, the zone and the country at large.

“The North-central People’s Forum will unite the people of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau and the Federal Capital Territory. It will offer the geo-political zone the opportunity to present a united front to speak on behalf of the zone.”

He commended Governor Sani Bello and all the North-central governors for their efforts in rising to their responsibilities in defending the people of their various states against the insecurity that has bedeviled the zone.

Responding, Governor Bello commended the Forum, saying that its establishment was timely and a good development as its efforts “will complement that of the North-central governors in their quest to ensure good governance in their various states.”

He appreciated the Forum for finding him worthy of the investiture and assured them of his commitment and dedication.
