2023 census: NPC flags off training for facilitators, specialised workforce in Yobe

As part of preparation towards the conduct of the 2023 Population and Housing Census, the National Population Commission (NPC) Yobe state office has on Thursday, flagged off state level training for facilitators and specialised workforce in the state.

Declaring the training opened at Ibrahim Geidam Hall of Yobe state University Damaturu, the federal Commissioner, NPC Yobe state, Alhaji Mai Aliyu Muhammad, said the training was for Census Specialised Workforce (CSW) and facilitators who will in turn train enumerators, supervisors coordinators, data quality assistants and data quality managers at the grassroots level.

Represented by NPC Director, Iyawa D.Madagwa, he stated that the training was also for the NPC to have successful exercises.

Mai Aliyu revealed that without proper understanding of the process for census, definitely NPC would have an empty data at the end of the exercise.

He called on the facilitators to pay attention during the training as NPC relies on them.

He charged them to stick to NPC manual as it serve as a guide to the exercise.
