2019: I’ll reintroduce Sharia, fight Zamfara insecurity – Aspirant

A member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji has pledged to reintroduce Sharia legal system to fight armed banditry bedevilling Zamfara if given the mandate to govern the state in 2019.
Jaji stated this while addressing board of trustees of Chief Imams of the state who called on him to contest for position of governor in the 2019 general elections yesterday.
According to him, upgrading and reorganising the Sharia legal will go a long way in ensuring justice and fairness while executing criminals who terrorise the state, with hundreds of innocent people being killed by the criminal elements in the state.
“Sharia legal system encompasses every sector of the economy and we shall ensure the law act assiduously against such undesirable elements, who terrorise our people innocently without any fear or favour,” he said.
The aspirant said if becomes governor of the state, security challenges facing the state will be history and appealed to religious leaders to always pray for sustainable peaceful coexistence in the state and country at large to ensure the conduct of free and fair elections next year.
He also called on religious leaders in the state to always preach for peace among their followers, stressing that no meaningful development could be attained in the absence of peace.
He said he would soon answer the clarion call made by his supporters to contest for governorship under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) when the INEC and national headquarters of the party grant the permission to start electioneering.
