2015: Lamido warns politicians against division

As the 2015 general elections are past approaching, the governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, has warned politicians in the state not to allow the struggle for elective positions to divide them.
The governor sounded the warning during Ramadan breakfast he organised for members of the National Assembly from the state, local government, as well as council chairmen, and councillors which took place at the Government House, Sunday night.
Lamido, therefore, stressed the need for the politicians to be united and wok collectively for the progress and development of Jigawa state, while pursuing their ambitions.

Senator Danladi Abdullahi Sakara, who responded on behalf of the senators and House of Representatives members, appealed to the people of the state to forgive former governor of the state, Senator Ibrahim Saminu Turaki, for alleged no performance and embezzlement of state’s funds during his eight years’ rein of the state.
In a remark, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence, Hon. Bashir Adamu Kazaure, said members of the National Assembly from Jigawa state were united for the common goal of moving the state and the country forward.
In short remarks, the speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adamu Ahmed Sarawa, criticised former governor of the state, Ibrahim Saminu, over comments of houses built in Dutse by some government officials.
Chairman of ALGON in the state, Kalid Ibrhim, who is also the chairman of Birnin Kudu local government, commended the governor for “transforming the state.”
