2,000 Kogi civil servants onboarded into health insurance scheme

The executive secretary, Kogi State Health Insurance Agency (KSHIA), Dr. Aladare Adekunle, has said about 32,000 civil servants have been onboarded into formal sector plan of the agency’s health insurance scheme.

Dr Adekunle who stated this while interacting with newsmen in Lokoja Monday said aside the civil servants, about 200 political appointees have also been onboarded into formal sector plan of the agency.

He described the formal sector plan as a family package that created avenue for every enrollees to enroll other five dependants under them.

“Since we came on board about five to six years ago, we have established three health care plans, first is the formal sector plan for the state workers and political appointees.

“Currently, about 32,000 civil servants have been onboarded into formal sector plan and about 200 political appointees have also been onboarded. The formal sector plan is a family package which means that a civil servants or political appointees under this plan can enroll himself or herself and other five dependants under them.”
