Yuletide: Kefas assures Tarabans of adequate security 

 

Taraba state governor, Agbu Kefasb, Sunday, reiterated his assurance on the provision of adequate security during and after this year’s yuletide season. 

Kefas, in a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, and made available to Blueprint in Jalingo, enjoined citizens to always be vigilant but very confident of his administration’s purposeful plans to secure the state for all.

The statement maintained that although security concerns are global in nature, adding that with all sorts of domino effects, local efforts were pivotal in addressing the menace.

The statement added that his government is taking security matters seriously in the face of the fears faced by citizens.

The statement noted that the newly elected local government chairmen have been adequately briefed on the roles they are to play to secure communities. 

The statement informed that government was working round the clock with all the relevant security agents to continuously monitor the situation. 

The statement urged citizens to be rest assured of commitment to their overall safety which he considers his number one duty.

The statement highlighted that the governor stressed the need for citizens to be partners in security, stressing that a collective approach is the best way to effective security.

The statement stressed that the governor commended the roles of the traditional institutions, youth and women groups across the state and pledged to always work in synergy with the local units in winning the war against banditry.
