With Ganduje, Ajibola, APC now in capable hands – Mrs Ajimobi

Wife of the former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Mrs Florence Ajimobi on Sunday said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is now in capable hands with emergence of Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje as Chairman and Senator Bashir Ajibola as national secretary, respectively.

Mrs Ajimobi in a statement said the emergence of the duo signified a new chapter in the history of the party and that the chairman and secretary were party men who would always do the right thing.

She said, “the choice of the duo by the party leadership is the right decision that is capable of taking APC to the next level.

“They will both complement the leader of the party and President and Commander -in- Chief, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in our desire to have a nation of our dream”.

Mrs Ajimobi noted that Alhaji Ganduje’s political trajectory has shown him to be a leader with the zeal to develop people and transform lives as evidenced in his stewardship as Kano state governor.

She stressed, “Also as a detribalised Nigerian, without doubt, he will be fair to all. The party is thus safe in his capable and trustworthy hands.”

Similarly, the Ajimobi Legacy Forum (ALF) has described the emergence of Ganduje and Bashir as a fitting tribute to party loyalty.

In a statement by former Special Adviser, Communication and Strategy to late Ajimobi, Mr Bolaji Tunji, on behalf of the Chairman of ALF, Chief Kunle Sanda and Secretary, Olayemi Olugbenga, said the National Executive Council (NEC) of the APC made the right choice as Ganduje and Bashir have what it takes to take the party to the next level.

“They are both committed party men and have what it takes to unite all the tendencies in the party for the continued  success of APC. With the seamless emergence of the Chairman and Secretary, the renewed hope agenda of the president would be given an added fillip”, it said.
