As Police continue to detain the Senatorial candidate of Labour Party in Ebonyi state, Linus Okorie, many women numbering thousands have trooped out in protest.
The protest on Monday October 17, 2022 took place in Onicha, a community in Ebonyi state.
Okorie, a major rival to Governor David Umahi’s senatorial ambition was highjacked on Sunday by unknown men around his area, but Police authorities later came out to claim that he was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of hard drugs.
Many stakeholders have already demanded his release but Police have remained adamant up till the time of filling this story.
