UI expels 5 students, rusticates 16 others

The Authority of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan said that it had expelled no fewer than five of its students.

The students, who were expelled from the institution were Ajuwon Gabriel, Yetunde Mary Agbanigo, Kehinde Samuel Aluko, Olufemi Olusegun Ogunwo and Saheed Ademola Oshodi.

The registrar of the institution, Olubunmi Faluyi, in a special bulletin said that the Central Student Disciplinary Committee (CSDC) of the institution took the decision on the erring students at its meeting held on May 9, 2019.

Faluyi in the bulletin added that 16 other students were also expelled.

Ten students from Distance Learning Centre (DLC) of the institution ad benn rusticated for two semesters due to offences bordering on examination misconduct.

Also rusticated for two semesters for gross misconduct are six regular students from the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology.
