UEFA Champions League: Dortmund seek revenge, Blues look to do the double

Borussia Dortmund will take on Inter Milan at Signal Iduna Park as the race to top Group F heats up. Dortmund were beaten 2-0 in the first clash at the San Siro, but they will move into second place and three points clear of Inter should they win this game. The Germans are on the back of a positive 3-0 win over Wolfsburg, and will need a similar result to keep themselves in the running. Inter have continued to be superb in Serie A, collecting 28 points from their 11 matches so far. Romelu Lukaku has been amongst the goals too, scoring nine so far. But he has yet to score in the Champions League so far, and this will be a good chance to do it. They cannot afford to lose this game however, as that will see them drop to third and put their qualification chances at risk.

Group F leaders Barcelona will entertain Slavia Prague at Camp Nou. The Catalans are three points clear at the top and with a trip to Inter still on the cards, will need to secure the points against the Czech side. Barca are top of La Liga, but they come into this game on the back of a 3-1 loss to Levante, further increasing the pressure on manager Ernesto Valverde. Nevertheless, they will be overwhelming favorites here as they haven’t lost a Champions League game at home since 2013, and have won their last five matches against Czech opposition, scoring 15 times in the process.

Chelsea and Ajax will face off in a crucial Group H tie at Stamford Bridge. Both sides are locked on six points, but the Blues sit at the top due to a superior head to head record. The Blues have won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions, a fantastic run of form. They haven’t been rock solid in defence but attacking contributions have made up for that. New signing Christian Pulisic has found some form, scoring four goals in his last two League outings. Ajax however cannot be underestimated as their only defeat so far this season has come against the English side. With so much to play for, you can expect the Dutch Champions to put in a strong showing.

Third placed Valencia will face off against Lille at the Mestalla. To have any chance of qualifying, the Spanish side must defeat the French side who lie bottom of the group with just a point to their name.

Group E leaders Napoli will take on Red Bull Salzburg at the Stadio San Paolo, while second placed Liverpool will entertain basement boys Genk at Anfield.

Group G table toppers RB Leipzig will face Zenit St. Petersburg at the Krestovsky Stadium, while Benfica will be desperate to keep their slim hopes alive when they travel to face Lyon at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
