President Donald Trump of the U.S. was the first person to indicate interest to stand for the next presidential election in 2020 soon after he was elected President in 2016. Mr. Trump plans way ahead of his opposition and that’s one aspect of his smartness people have not credited him for.
Trump has begun to identify possible opposition Democratic Party candidates for 2020; he just showed his fixation about Oprah Winfrey possible candidacy recently. As it would be in 2020, the one person who would proof a stumbling block to Mr. Trump’s second-term bid is Barack Obama if Mr. Obama does the shock decision and indicates a willingness to contest; such a flexibility clause that would permit Mr. Obama a third shot at the presidency is a mere constitutional matter.
This, we can infer that Mr. Trump’s “shithole countries” comment would make Mr. Obama quite uncomfortable in the public glare because it would remind him of his father, Mr. Obama Snr’s harsh times growing up in Kenya and coming to American for the good life it promised. Mr. Trump has likely fired the first salvo at Obama if he (Obama) is thinking of 2020.
