Tinubu’s Easter: Nigerians’ sacrifices over my reforms appreciated, yielding fruits

…Says ‘Nigeria will triumph over challenges’

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said he had worked hard to lead the nation towards recovery and long-term prosperity since taking office.

Tinubu said this in a statement issued Friday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, as part of his message to the Christian faithful on the commemoration of this year’s Easter.

He also noted that Nigerians had made sacrifices in the few months since the start of his administration over its reforms and policies.

Tinubu gave Nigerians hope that their patience seeds are starting to blossom and would soon produce a bountiful harvest of good fruits.

Easter, according to Tinubu, is a momentous occasion and a magnificent celebration of life’s victory over death.

“On this auspicious day, the president extended a cordial greeting to Christians in Nigeria and across the globe, highlighting the central principles of this solemn season: love, sacrifice, and compassion.”

The president said the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for humanity was a clear lesson for leaders and all Nigerians to yield to selflessness and compassion and to be steadfast in the pursuit of a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation.

“I strongly commend Nigerians for the sacrifices they have made in the past few months for the nation to be steered to the path of recovery and sustainable growth, assuring them that the seeds of patience which they had sown were beginning to sprout and would in no time bring forth an abundance of good fruits,” he said.

He said as Christians we must celebrate the victory of life over death as exemplified by the resurrection of Christ.

The president also assured all citizens that “Nigeria will triumph over its challenges as my administration remains firmly committed to this end.”
